Ram Navami Was Celebrated!

Seniors celebrated the Birth of Lord Rama – Ram Navami. Hindus have great reverence for Lord Rama who is believed to be the seventh avatar (re-incarnation) of the Supreme God, Vishnu. On this day, devotees and followers of Lord Rama recite verses from the holy scriptures like Shrimad Bhagavatam and Ramayana to celebrate His Auspicious Birth!

ADS coordinator Bharat Soni along with Seniors made 108 beautifully hand crafted Diyas to Lord Rama. He also beautifully handcrafted the other decorations that adorned the center. They sang Bhajans and danced to rejoice the Creators Birthday. Lots of sweets and savories were prepared and served!

The best part of being a part of UMAS is that seniors get to celebrate all the occasions and festivals which make them feel at home even when they are far away from home!
