Kanya Pujan Kanya Pujan is a special ritual that Hindus perform during Navratri. During this ritual, young girls aged 2 to 10 are worshipped to please Goddess Durga. Feet of kanya or young girls are cleansed with water and milk during the ritual, and a tikka of ghee, kumkum, and akshat is applied to their forehead. A scarlet thread (moli) is put around their wrists, and they are fed. People afterward seek their blessings and present them with gifts. Devotees perform this Puja to achieve the goals of Moksha, Karma, Dharma, and Arth since each of the nine forms of the Goddess represents a unique power. The devotee is said to receive tranquility, wisdom, fame, prosperity, and power from the Goddess after the puja is completed. Mrs. Kumar performed the Navami Kanya Pujan with beautiful young girls at the Schaumburg location and fed them the special bhog.
