Mahashivratri Celebrations
Mahashivratri is the day to honor and celebrate Lord Shiva—honor the life and celebrate existence. Mahashivratri, a Hindu festival, observes the power of lord Shiva in protecting his devotees from any negative energy that may befall them. It is believed that chanting Om Namah Shivaya brings blessings and fulfillment of wishes and desires by the lord. Our Niles ADS seniors and coordinators decorated the center with a Himalaya theme to celebrate the Mahashivratri. Seniors sang devotional songs and danced to the evergreen song from their time “Jay jay Shiv Shankar”.
