May 29th is Ma Santosh Kumar Appreciation Day!

Mayor of Hoffman Estates, Mr. William D. McLeod, awarded a proclamation to Dr. Mrs. Santosh Kumar honoring May 29th as “MA SANTOSH KUMAR APPRECIATION DAY”. The Village of Hoffman Estates Trustees Michael Gatea, Anna Newell & Gary G Stanton awarded Dr. Santosh Kumar with the Proclamation Plaque. Congratulations to our dear Ma Santosh Kumar! WHAT AN HONOR!

PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, Ma Santosh Kumar is an excellent businesswoman, good friend, and representative of the Asian American Community and, for her contributions to her community, is being recognized as an Outstanding Asian American in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May

WHEREAS, in the month of May we are honored to commemorate the rich and diverse culture of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and take delight in recognizing their immeasurable contributions to the prosperity of our District, and

WHEREAS, we acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of Asian Pacific Americans in our Village’s social, economic, and democratic success, as well as their role in making Greater Chicago a great place with diverse culture, and

WHEREAS, we acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of a particular Asian American named below, who has made great contributions and self-less efforts in promoting the above causes and help develop a great working relationship with the Village of Hoffman Estates and other Asian Americans and businesses

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT I, William D. McLeod, acting under and by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution of the State of Illinois and Laws of the Village of Hoffman Estates, hereby proclaim Saturday, May 29, 2021, MA SANTOSH KUMAR APPRECIATION DAY in the Village of Hoffman Estates and urge all Hoffman Estates citizens, government agencies, business leaders, hospitals, schools, and public and private institutions in Village to join in honoring Ma Kumar’s achievements as we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage in the month of May
