On February 14th seniors and staff of UMAS unveiled the most beautiful Valentine’s Day ever! The decorations were spectacular. All the decorations were done by the seniors themselves with a little help from the staff members. Paper cut-out hearts and butterflies were hung all over the walls which appeared so professional and filled the view with love!!! Seniors took a walk down memory lane and played all their favorite old songs that they cherished during their yesteryears. They danced heartily to the rhythm of the songs. Our 96-year young, Shantaben Zaveri from Niles location was the center of attraction, glorifying the whole event as she danced to her heart’s content. She astonished the crew member of WTTW TV Channel 11, who came that day to capture the activities of UMAS!
Apparently, it was also our Founding Executive Director, Mrs. Kumar’s birthday, which was celebrated by all the seniors and staff while they showered their love and blessings on her. As she cut her birthday cake, she wished and announced to build a bigger and better place for the seniors!!!
At UMAS we make sure that the seniors age happily and lead a comfortable life!!!
